Yeah. You read that right.
Disney World + Dip Brow... Not the best combination.
While going through treatment. I had a friend come visit from California. Now, this friend is just as much of a hardcore Disney fanatic as me (maybe more!). She had never been to Disney World, so we invited her to come with us on our pre-planned trip.
If you are unaware of how the heat index in Florida works in the Fall, here's your clue. In the month of September, it can either be 70 degrees and beautiful or it's the heat equivalent to the surface of the sun. There is no in-between. Our weather for our trip just happened to be the latter.
I decided to put on makeup that day. A rare feat for me because at that point I had no eyebrows or lashes, so really... what's the point? If you have been through chemo, you get it. I think the hardest part for me was the lack of eyebrows. I literally felt like I looked like Voldemort.
So to hide my lack of eyebrows, I would paint them on with Dip Brow. Let me state this, Dip Brow is amazing! I absolutely love using it and it helped a ton going through chemo since things like microblading or henna brows aren't really an option. However, if you don't have eyebrow hair for it to stick to, it tends to rub off or melt off in the heat. I didn't know that at the time... So here I am, dying in the Florida Fall weather with half an eyebrow at the Happiest Place on Earth. One thing I definitely learned through treatment is that looks are fleeting and people are going to look at you funny regardless of if you have all your eyebrows, no eyebrows, or a third eyeball. Who cares about them!? Mind yo business.
